P is for Papers, Please, a dystopian themed management game in which you are the lucky winner of the labor lottery, and are the new gate agent at the newly reopened Grestin Border Checkpoint. Every day, you are expected to process incoming travelers against a constantly changing list of criteria, to ensure the safety of glorious Arstotska. What’s this about a press pass? That’s not a valid form of ID, get out of here. Your wife has expired papers? I’m sorry, but she can’t come, even if that means her death. And don’t forget the terrorist attacks!  It’s almost like people don’t like our glorious country Artstotska, how can that be?

This game offers a variety of endings, depending on how closely you want to toe the line of the laws in game. Do you follow the letter of the law, ensuring comfort and security for you and your family? Do you risk arrest for the chance of a better, free-er future, at the hands of the mysterious EZIC group? Or maybe somewhere in the middle, allowing as much compassion as you can muster, helping the common person, the doctor trying to smuggle medicine, families at their wits end. The choice is yours.
